Which is best for video editing i5 11500 or Ryzen 5 5600G or ?

My purpose is 1080p 30fps video editing on premiere pro.

I have no GPU .

Motherboard tier list. Tier A for overclocking 5950x. Tier B for overclocking 5900x, Tier C for overclocking 5800X. Tier D for overclocking 5600X. Tier F for 4/6 core Cpus at stock. Tier E avoid.

(Also case airflow matter or if you are using Downcraft air cooler)

Gpu tier list. Rtx 3000 and RX 6000 not included since not so many reviews. Tier S for Water cooling. Tier A and B for overcloking. Tier C stock and Tier D avoid.

( You can overclock Tier C just fine, but it can get very loud, that is why it is not recommended for overclocking, same with tier D)

No, the 5600G's iGPU (Vega 7) is much better than the 11500's iGPU (UHD 750).

 

OP, get the 5600G.

They performs quite similar in multi threaded loads.

The R5 5600G has a better iGPU and are more power efficient, but no PCIe gen 4 support, which could be nice for some ultra fast storage.

 

So its more what the total system cost are

PCIe 4.0 doesn't matter much at all for 1080p30 video editing, as it'll take about 3 Gbps, or 375 MB/s. Any SATA drive could handle that with ease.

This is pure to show you cpu performance. Cpu wise the 5600g is a bit better than the i5 11500.

 

Gpu wise it's not even a competition the 5600g EASILY beats the i5.
