Will a keyed power cable pin fit in a square socket?

My friend told me this but I don’t know whether to believe them. I need a GPU power cable 6+2 pin and I am sure one will work (first photo) but the one that my friend recommended (second photo) I am not 100% sure about. The third photo is of my gpu. If you need any more info let me know. Thanks in advance.

it's a pci cable, so it should work fine with the gpu. other cards have that spot as square as well.

Use only cables for you power supply model/brand. They both will work , you would need both.

Why do you need another PCIe power cable? Does your PSU not have enough? What model PSU and GPU do you have?

:)

I have an RM750 80+ Gold and an EVGA 770 4GB. I had PCIe cable but something happened. I don’t want to talk about it lol.
