Do 6-32 screw flat work for wd blue hdd

yeah, regular 6-32 case screws can be used. 

Floppy drives and optical drives use the slightly smaller m3 screws (metric standard - 6-32 are UNC 6-32 imperial standard)

Flat probably means shape of the head ... like this :

Maybe they don't want the standard HEX shape because the height of the head could interfere with something in the case construction but I doubt it. 

Just don't use the normal length ones, don't use very long screws.

Hi,

 

My WD Blue just arrived and I wanted to ask if the screws labeled as “6-32 screw flat” are the correct screws to mount the Hard drive into the cage, I know that “6-32 screws” work but I’m not sure what the “flat” mean and if it makes any difference 

 

Any response is appreciated
