if you watch 

you will see that it is one of the most accurate mousepads in the market

and other things... So yeah it's good for gaming

I have an ASUS G14 2021 with Manjaro KDE and I am a professional Linux NoOB and also pretty bad at General Computing.

Depends on your desk colour but I would personally cover the whole desk for aesthetic reason.
