24 pin shorting

brave617

hello, i just had to replace my motherboard and i noticed my psu 24 pin is shorting, am i safe to keep using my computer or can this damage it in any way? i was using my computer and it shut off and would not restart so i jiggled the 24 pin and it came back on, so to test i barely touched it and it instantly turned off and on, so i am pretty sure the cable has a short. if it happens while i'm using my computer can it damage it?
