Have you tried formatting the SD card ?

You could try using H2testw, to write on the entire flash memory to determine whether you got a fake one or not as well. Which is possible, but usually it wouldn't report as full.

https://www.heise.de/ct/Redaktion/bo/downloads/h2testw_1.4.zip

Quote

Instructions

  1. Copy h2testw.exe from the h2testw .zip to your desktop
  2. Insert your SD card into your computer
  3. Run h2testw.exe
  4. Select “English”
  5. Click “Select target”
  6. Select your SD card’s drive letter
  7. Ensure “all available space” is selected
  8. Click “Write + Verify”
  9. Wait until the process is completed

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3700x / GPU: Asus Radeon RX 6750XT OC 12GB / RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB DDR4-3200
MOBO: MSI B450m Gaming Plus / NVME: Corsair MP510 240GB / Case: TT Core v21 / PSU: Seasonic 750W / OS: Win 10 Pro

Theres multiple ways to test that:

Does the sdcard write slow?

Sandisk ultra generally write at 95mb/s, depending on the how fast the device its connected to can handle (the sd adapter).

Thats fairly common on sdcards they lose space fast of bad parts of its memory.

But only generally happens after itd been used and format a few times.

And should have atleast 230gb if it is brand new.

Reduced Read / Write Speed: This one is very common. You buy a memory card that shows something like “maximum 95 MB/sec read and 90 MB/sec write speed” and a “V30” label that is supposed to guarantee a minimum write speed of 30 MB/sec. But when copying a file using a fast memory card reader, you might not even get more than 5-10 MB/sec. Old, slow memory cards are cheap and some companies simply change labels on unsold memory cards

We can't tell. Fakes are rarely distinguishable at first glance. You need to run a tool, like the one I previously linked, to check whether it's fake or not.

Run this and select the card:

You might need to run as admin to see any hidden stuff

theres no way to tell, unless you test the actuall sdcard.

Because the branding changes, and even if fake could be indentical with the real one.

You now have to delete the test file it made to have it make a new one.

You need it to do the whole thing.

Yes. Let it complete as it should. It will take a while. SD cards are not exactly fast when it comes to continuous read/writes. Though it being down to only 8.72 MB/s is kind of sad for a card that claims speeds upward of 100 MB/s

Ah, it doesn't matter. If the USB port it's plugged into is USB 2.0, the slower speed is to be expected too.

Just make sure you plug the laptop to charge, wouldn't want the battery to run out while it's testing. You can do other stuff while it does this, as long as you don't close the software or the laptop.
