Triple Monitor Setup Help

gperson2

Hi all,

I already have a 49" super ultrawide monitor and I would like to add two 27" monitors, one on either side, and game with the image extended across all three. My GPU is an RTX 3090. My present understanding is that Nvidia Surround won't let me do this because the monitor resolutions are different (the ultrawide is 5120x1440 and each 27" is 2560x1440). Is there a way to make this happen, either through Nvidia surround or another way? Thanks!

what are you trying to do? create a 360* degree screen and for simulators or something? using fullscreen applications?

Sure it's possible but as far as I can tell I cannot test a resolution bigger than what my ultrawide will display on its own.

Mostly for driving simulators but for as many games as I could get to work. I don't have a use case for other sorts of applications, other than having many Edge windows and documents viewable simultaneously, but I don't need Surround for that.

Not sure for Nvidia surround, with AMD card I used AMD Eyefinity for my 3440x1440 and two 2560x1440 monitors and it worked, and although UW has different brand and resolution, freesync still works for all 3 monitors

Unfortunately it appears that while AMD does indeed support combining monitors with different resolutions, the Nvidia solution does not. Should’ve gone full team red this time I guess.

I have used Nvidia with different resolutions, not what you are doing though.

How did you do it?

works automaticly, sort of.

Also have g-sync on one of them if that matters and using 1080 card.

although some windows 10 problems with the edge between the 2 resolutions is not always perfect unless in fullscreen.

  • 2 years later...

Hi everyone! Wondering if there is an update in regards to utilizing nvidia to merge 3 different resolutions monitor. Im currently gaming on a Samsung G9 5120x1440 240hz and added one 27inch monitor on each side (1920x1080) 165hz. Am I supposed to go team red and it will work?
