Yeah, Those are basically a simple switch there's literally no electronic inside it irrc, and I don't see reason why it would cause a signal degradation,

Amp as in normal amplifier?

You could connect it between the headphones and the switcher

Well, the mic in and stereo out is different port, unless you mean something else?

Hey!

I'd like to start this post by clarifying I have very little knowledge about audio equipment and only recently started to actually "care" about my audio quality.

The issue I'm currently facing is I'd like to have 3 outputs for my PC audio, without them all simultaneously playing. I wanted to have speakers, headphones and earbuds all plugged in and be able to switch between them with a physical button. I don't know if this is possible.

In my current setup I have to plug my headset into my speakers when I want to use them and unplug them when I want to use the speakers. Not only do my speakers introduce a lot of static noise at medium-volume (they're not the best thing in this world), I didn't want to have to constantly plug/unplug everything. Also I only have the 3 3.5 mm audio entrances at the back of the mobo, my front case audio is broken due to a cheap case and defective daughter-board.

I believe this https://www.amazon.es/-/pt/dp/B07DNYF22N/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=headphone+selector&qid=1627857400&sr=8-2 is what I need but I'm not sure and I don't know if this solution would destroy the aduio quality. I'd also like to keep my motherboard's microphone entrance free as I'd like to have an external mic (not a headset one).

I also don't know if this would be compatible with an AMP? Or if there are options out there which already include an AMP. As I've said I'm only now getting into the audio space and I'd like to improve my quality and comfort a bit.

Thanks for any help ❤️

That was one of my worries since my audio got worse after introducing the speakers between the source and the headphones was wondering if this would have the same effect.

Yes. Alright, thank you.

I did mean that, just in case the product I referenced wasn't actually the solution and there were other options out there which required both ports to be connected.

Thank you so much for your help!
