Octopath Traveler PC version lower resolution makes everything grayscale

cwgzz

I’m not sure if this is the game’s problem or my computer’s problem. But when I put the resolution of Octopath Traveler to 3440x1440 the colors are perfect.

But when I put it on 2560x1080 there is a grayscale to everything. I’ve never had this problem with any other game before so I’m wondering what is causing this.

I prefer to play on 2650x1080 because the frames are much smoother at a constant 60fps. But the grayscale bothers me…

On 3440x1440 the frames are around 20-30 which is horrible…

Do you mean actual grayscale or just desaturated? Can you post screenshots?

I tried making a screenshot but it doesn’t come out… I would have to take a picture on my iPhone and post it here, the difference. Is that okay?

Yeah that's part of the reason I asked for a screenshot to see if it would show. 😛

So since it's not showing in a screenshot, it sounds like some sort of video transit issue. Like there it's having some weird color space issue somewhere down the pipe. Have you tried switching ports on your GPU?
