Is this possibly a GPU issue or software related?

I've been trying to figure out just what's going wrong with my PC. Right now I've been having this issue where textures and images will randomly corrupt when playing games and using software. This issue will happen usually every 2 weeks, but went around 2 months without it happening this time (which made me think I had fixed it, but unfortunately didn't). What puts me off from completely thinking its a GPU issue is that it goes a long time without occurring instead of consistently occurring. I attached an image of my steam library corrupting, and a picture of H3VR corrupting (visible through both headset and desktop viewport). I've been trying to find any information about this issue but unfortunately so far I haven't found a lot. This has persisted through reinstallations of Windows 10 and graphics drivers. I am using a MSI RTC 3070 Ventus 2x OC. When it happened this time the GPU temp was hovering around ~70C. Any help is greatly appreciated.

That looks like VRAM artifacts to me. That is a issue on hardware level:

  • Your vram overclock is unstable
  • Your vram chips are overheating
  • Your vram chips are faulty.

Thank you for your response. My GPU is at normal clock right now. Would there be a way to test VRAM for defects? I have tried using things like furmark before but even after leaving it on for extended periods I haven't been able to recreate the issue. I am also not sure if this could be a contributor, but I am using an ASRock B460M Pro4 as a motherboard right now.

Also wanted to specify that everything will work fine then one thing will trip, and one after another things will begin to corrupt until I have to restart. It has happened in very low demand games such as Roblox as well. Then after that, it doesn't happen again for a while.
