icobi

Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum

Looking to build a new pc and would appriciate a feedback on what I came up with (actually I've been looking to build this new pc for more than a year, but 2020/21...).

Budget (including currency): approx. 2.500,00 €

Country: Italy

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming (especially rpg) - Work (3D modelling and 2D drawing - Autodesk environment especially)

Other details:  I already have 2 27" 2K monitors (60Hz), but aiming to buy a 2k or 4k gaming monitor in the future (to evaluate).

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X
  • MOBO: GIGABYTE B550 Vision DP ATX Mainboard
  • CASE: LIAN LI LANCOOL II MESH RGB bianco
  • RAM: Crucial Ballistix BL2K16G36C16U4W 3600 MHz, DDR4, DRAM
  • M.2 (1): Sabrent Rocket 4 Plus SSD M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 Gen4 da 1TB (already have it)
  • M.2 (2): Sabrent SSD 1TB Rocket NVMe PCIe M.2 2280
  • CPU cooler: Noctua NH-D15 chromax.black (x5)
  • FANS: Noctua NF-A12x15 PWM chromax.Black.Swap
  • PSU: be quiet! Straight Power 11 Platinum 850W
  • GPU: 😫 aim to get a RTX3070 or RTX3060Ti

Not interested in RGB! 🤣 but a cool black&white build

What do you think of what I came up with? Do you have any suggestion/changes?

Thankyou for the help!

Overall, your parts list looks good. The only thing I might suggest is to go with B550 Steel Legend instead (still sticks with black and white theme). The B550 Vision is fairly pricy, but if you like the look go for it. Depending on the size of the 3D model assemblies you work with, it might be worth considering 32GB of ram. When I have to work with large assemblies with Inventor, I easily hit over 16Gb of ram. GPU can be interchange with whatever you can find at a good deal.
