Will dual channel help my cpu encoding

Someone else can probably explain way more eloquently but - Dual channel just refers to your RAM running in parallel so data is split and sent to both sticks at the same time doubling your data rate. 

 

How much RAM do you have now and how many sticks?

Then yes, getting a 2nd stick could help your situation. 

 

Not saying it will be a silver bullet but will help.

ive got one more question would you think a 1050 ti would be better or should i just get dual channel ram with i5-8400
