Concern about laptop GPU temp (GTX1050)

Go to solution Solved by Freakwise,

89 degree is pretty hot but yes you technically still be fine, that's probably where the gpu will throttled down

if it over heats and you fell like enough of playing games just close the game and let it idle in Windows it probably cool down in about a minute or two

And something that could probably "help" you is probably to clean your Laptop cooling thoroughly, both the fan and the heatsink itself

Just curious about my laptop GPU health, as I usually play competitive FPS only such as VALORANT (100-190fps, no temp issue), CSGO(150-200fps, no temp issue).

But I know my specs are not meant for high end gaming but playing COD Cold War was playable at lowest settings getting around 40fps min 80fps max.

The only issue is the GPU temperature indicator statically stays around 89 degrees with red font.

I've heard it could freeze my laptop if it overheats and can damage the GPU

The main question is, is it okay if I continue playing few hours constantly at high temp or should I just stop playing COD?
