An uncontroversial opinion – AMD RX 6600 XT Announcement

AMD’s latest – but perhaps not greatest – GPU has finally been officially confirmed, but the GPU isn’t the big news... What does this mean for the GPU market as a whole?

lets change a few things

  • what about make a regulation for gamers and keep a limit
  • what about make a regulation for content creators and keep a limit
  • what about make a regulation for 3d artists and keep a limit

lol no. even if I was, does it change the validity of my comment? why is one use case for a product any less valid than another?

Who is the priority? Gamers? Severs? Production houses? Scientists?

GPUs have so many uses, who are you or anyone else to say what they can be used for?

It was announced at Chinajoy in Shanghai, China. It's prime afternoon on this side of the globe.

Linus couldn't be bothered with review to a point he just showed AMD's fps numbers lol and then rambled for several minutes. I can feel ya how doing a full scale review of a product no one can buy is a total waste of time.

As for priority, gamers and prduction were never an issue. It's always 1-2 GPU's per system. It's the damn scalpers and mining warehouses that have buttloads of GPU's stacked. Few mining farms could supply thousands of gamers with each only needing single graphic card. Instead they sit in like 5 warehouses.

Solid card for my needs tbh but doubt prices will be anything impressive.

Mining crypto does nothing useful, it just wastes electricity. On top of that, crypto is heavily involved in all sorts of criminal activity. Other things you mentioned are actually useful.

OK, I'll bite.

Gaming does nothing useful either and wastes more electricity than mining.

Yes, but there are many other forms of recreation, not just gaming.

But i'm not going into this any further, this conversation has been done to death on this forum and is a bit off-topic for this video.

So is regular cash. Is that a problem? Why does it matter what people do with their graphics cards that they've paid for?
