My day just went from good to mediocre.

DairyProducts

I asked someone "how much memory does your laptop have" and they responded "512GB". So they either run a server as their laptop or they're plain stupid. Or I'm just that far behind on the normal amount of memory. Either way I'm mildly annoyed.

Or it's because the term "memory" can be used interchangeably with "storage" i.e. memory cards for a console. For someone who isn't overly knowledgeable about tech, they're probably much more likely to relate memory to how much storage space their device has rather than how much RAM it has.

I mostly speak from my own past experience from similar problems. My solution may not work for you, but I'll always try my best to help as much as I can. If you want me to see your reply, make sure to quote my comment or mention me @WaggishOhio383, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

1) pointless post.

2) you can't expect average people to know the difference between storage and ram, especially if they are asking for tech support for whatever reason, and especially because they are both reported in GB.

3) some specialty enterprise laptops actually do have several hundred GB of ram.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Why be annoyed?  Are you judging yours based on theirs?

If so, feel like shit because I have a whole lot of things better than that.

Define it better when you ask people, such as how much RAM? or how much hard drive space? much easier to answer the question then.

Also apologize when you forget this method as it is your fault setting expectations on people.

16GB is good.  32GB imo a bit much.  They DON'T have 500GB in a lappy

Edit

Depends on the work they do

With all the Trolls, Try Hards, Noobs and Weirdos around here you'd think i'd find SOMEWHERE to fit in!
