Corsair K55 RGB still working without iCue?

FRD

After troubleshooting of iCue not detecting my keyboard (a common problem with this board), I finally got it to work today.

Before the software was working, I used to change the RGB using the Fn + number keys to change the lights.

Now that the software is installed, I can only change it through the software and the Fn + number keys don't do anything anymore.

I'm wondering. Is it still possible to change the RGB the old way (with the Fn key)? Or am I stuck to iCue now unless I uninstall the software?

I had hoped both would work, since pressing buttons is faster than opening the software or changing profiles every time.

If you could change it before the software, it has onboard memory profiles. Just exit the software and prevent it running at startup. It should revert back to using only onboard profile storage.

Pretty logical actually, thanks. Just unfortunately no workaround I think for using both software and button commands at the same time.

I had the same problem with my K70 RGB. The iCue software just made me angry, so I installed 3 profiles that I liked on the keyboard then never ran the software again.

I just installed iCue because I thought it would be cool to make profiles, nothing else. In the end it doesn't seem as handy as I thought it would be.

I will probably also make a few profiles that I switch from occasionally. Since I'm fairly new with it. How to switch the profiles fast/easily? Is it also possible in-game?
