Going back from 21:9 to 16:9

MysticLTT

I'm concidering going from 34" 21:9 75Hz to a 32" 4k 144Hz  for better Hz, so I preemptively ran the game at 16:9 ratio to see the changes in picture. I feel like there's a lot of missing information not being rendered at 16:9 unless changing FOV could bring it back.

I always felt seeing the enemies on far left and right has given me an advantage, now it's like I'm wearing blinders.

Yea… I personally wouldn’t be able to go back because of this.

They make high refresh ultrawide panels… mine is 100, they have 120+ models now. May be worth going that route. Personally I am waiting for a high refresh OLED ultrawide.

For gamers, 4K is pretty overrated. If ultrawide is compatible with the games you play most, a high refresh ultrawide will provide a much better experience. And there's also not a major difference between 144 and 120 Hz (I can't even tell the difference) so you're not missing out on much

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

I used to run a 21:9 2560x1080 custom resolution on my big ass 16:9 1440p monitor to artificially increase my horizontal FOV.
