RTX 2060 Super vs RTX 3070

Go to solution Solved by Skiiwee29,

That would be a good upgrade for your planned monitor upgrade. You're basically going from a 2060 to a 2080ti in terms of performance more or less.

Hi guys, I currently own a 2060 Super Zotac AMP Extreme however I was planning on changing my monitor from a 1080 to a 1440 ultra wide. I was thinking on getting the RTX 3070 Asus Strix. Do you think this would be a good change based on the performance of both graphics cards, or should I get a different one or even keep the one I have? I am planning on playing mostly games with RT to get the best out of it.

A 3070 is a great choice for WQHD gaming, especially if you want to RTX on. You might get by with your current card, especially if the games you run support DLSS, but if you can get your hands on a well priced 3070, it's a pretty good upgrade for this resolution.

I upgraded from a 2070 super to a 3070 for 1440p gaming and it made a big difference

The 3070 is a nice card for ultra wide. 3440x1440 is demanding but the 3070 will get the job done for sure
