Lots of HTTP ERROR 500 pages when attempting to load/reload pages

Browser, version and OS: Windows 10 Home 21H1, Chrome 92.0.4515.107 64-bit

Steps to reproduce/what were you doing before it happened?

Opening a status update as a new tab, along with reloading the home page

What happened?

Both failed to load and gave HTTP ERROR 500, though hitting the "Reload" button fixed this

What did you expect to happen?

The pages to load without showing HTTP ERROR 500 and requiring a "Reload" button press

All the errors here are HTTP 500 errors (and correspond to fatal errors on the server), but different browsers render them in different ways (blank page vs Chrome error). This error is coming from the forum, not from Cloudflare, and only happens under high load (such as DoS attacks).

HTTP/2 203

Weird question, is it that frequent? When i had my own website for a few months some time ago i remember chinese or russian bots scouring the website for any kind of exploit known to man but never experienced any dos-attacks (small website after all). Just curious.

We notice attacks every few months, but they're almost certainly targeted by someone that wants to take down the forum for whatever passes as their idea of fun, not just random bots that decide to take down random websites.
