Stop users from being able to label their original question as the solution

cacoe

This makes no sense, if there's a solution, it will be from a user in the responses, or if a user finds out how to fix something themselves, they can respond and label as solution.

and automatically set titles to all lowercase if they're all uppercase, while we're talking about things new users tend to do

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Then people can actually see the solution too, if they are having the same problem.

Probs best starting a new thread, this is unrelated to my suggestion, despite me agreeing with you.

Exactly, I just viewed a thread a moment ago and was like, oh, there's a solution already. Hang on, that's op's original message wtf?

Good for google searches too.

Sometimes that URGENT is actually URGENT. I once came across a post with similar titling, but the OP went as far as to say that he’ll PayPal the one who solves his issue $20

I am getting pretty fucking sick and tired of the "watch something else" responses. It's such a cop out answer because you could say that about basically anything, and it doesn't address the actual complaints. People use it as some kind of card they pull when they can't actually respond to the criticism raised but they still feel like they need to defend some company/person. If you don't like this thread then stop reading it. See how stupid it is? It's basically like telling someone "shut the fuck up". It's not a clever responsive, it doesn't address anything said, and it is rude.

Pretty sure I remember that one. I've seen 5 or so that have offered some kind of financial compensation for someone telling them how to plug in a USB header.

Also please remove the mark as best answer for threads in tech news.. there can’t be an answer to a tech news thread AFAIK

And add punctuation (the titles being "help" etc. already got suggested). Also, if you can, force them to read the rules before posting and browse like 1h before they can post so that they don't dump to GD. I move at least 10 threads daily that have the correct subforum in title or first sentencce.

I pointed this out to the forum software devs a while ago and they said no, why give people fewer options, so this isn't likely to happen.

Or another thing that bothers me is if I reply to someone's thread, other users will "Like" my response over "Agree", but then said user will reply too and say to do the same thing. Little pet peeve of mine.
