I play with cpuid hwmonitor open on second monitor, no throttling. These started 3 days ago, before that everything was fine.

just noticed that you have the same CPU as me

I used to OC to 5Ghz sometimes even 5,1 but I am not doing that any more due to weird lack of stability after a year of running without any problems, today I am not OC at all or sometimes I go to 4,9

  • Try again play games but this time without OC
  • also I would go back to basics like test RAM and run some stability apps
  • great that you have a second monitor...try also play game with task manager open and look at disk utilization [maybe something is scanning files or there is malicious software]
