Synology NAS connected to network switch.

So I have a Synology NAS that's connected to a TP-Link TL-SG105 5 port switch. It has two ports to my two laptops and one port for internet from the media panel out in my garage.

So the 4th port is for the NAS and I am getting very iffy connections.

Do I need to upgrade to a better switch? If so, which one do you folks reco?

It shouldn’t be an issue with the switch, possibly try a different Ethernet cable?

And define iffy, what is it doing?

All ethernet cables that I use are 5e, brand new ones.

Iffy is sometimes it connects, sometimes it doesnt. "connected is not restored".

I turned off my work laptop and I have a steady connection. So I am guessing I need a between switch to handle all the simultaneous traffic.

Unlkely, even a cheap switch can handle 100m cable runs, unless the cable is defective.

Router:  Intel N100 (pfSense) WiFi6: Zyxel NWA210AX (1.7Gbit peak at 160Mhz)
WiFi5: Ubiquiti NanoHD OpenWRT (~500Mbit at 80Mhz) Switches: Netgear MS510TXUP, MS510TXPP, GS110EMX
ISPs: Zen Full Fibre 900 (~930Mbit down, 115Mbit up) + Three 5G (~800Mbit down, 115Mbit up)

I am getting another switch today, hopefully that would work. Cable defective is all around bad news for me.
