G31 can reach 500fsb?

I guess g31 isnt as crappy as i thought it was

Out of curiosity i put my e8400 into my g31m s2c just to see if it would reach higher fsbs than my p5qpl-am (my first mobo but its dead now cause snapped off pin) which could only reach 392fsb

I thought this thing would reach around the same fsb as my p5qpl-am but i guess it obliterates my p5qpl-am and puts my p5q boards to shame

Spoiler

I guess those p5q boards were a waste of money xD

Highest fsb i could reach with my p5q was 515 if i remember correctly

I guess its the board that actually determines how high of an fsb you can reach and not the chipset

And checking at hwbot the highest fsb someone got on this board is 535 which is nuts

4.5ghz requires around 1.5v on an e8400, which i think this board can handle since i can run 4.2ghz 1.408v on my e5400 just fine, and i guess the heatsinks and fan over the vrms help them not overheat and die

I think ill have to wait for a better psu to actually use my p5q boards since my 3$ cheapo oem psus cant handle my p5q and volts go haywire

Also gonna need a better cooler since this 92mm chinese cooler can barely keep my e5400 at 4.5ghz 1.55v under 90c
