Is there or will there be a power supply that can also be a battery for your pc?

Like last 10 minutes ago I was playing on my ps4 the Horizon  Zero Dawn Complete Edition And then a power interruption happened it was so annoying so I gave up playing for now but that got me thinking

Rn I have a laptop if a power interuption happened only the internet would go out but if I have a pc the pc would go out too so just in the furture maybe 2 or 3 years

Is there already a power supply that can act as your battery for your pc?

or is there still nothing like these?like it would be really useful to know it rn since Idk dude power interruptions so annoying

Sure, it's called an uninterruptible power supply (UPS). They have a battery inside that power your device for a short time so you can safely turn them off. How long you can continue operating the machine depends on 1) the capacity of the battery and 2) the amount of power the device(s) hooked up to it draw.

And now a word from our sponsor: 💩

This is what a ups is for. Basically a big battery for your computer allowing you time to shut it down or in your case keep things going during unstable power.

There is currently no ATX power supply with built-in battery, however, you can easily buy a small UPS that can power an idling pc for a few minutes to allow for graceful shutdown or to prevent shutdowns with few second power interruptions. I wouldn't run it on a gaming pc or gaming console to just continue playing though. If the power interruption lasts longer than a few minutes, it may as well lose power and shutdown.

Should power be lost, better to safely turn off your devices as quickly as possible.
