How big of a deal it is to choose a RAM from the support file on the site of the Motherboard or just buy a random one?

Hello,

I was planning on buying the G.Skill Royal 3200Mhz cl14 16GB and it is on the list of the motherboard, but then I see a lot of ppl saying 3600Mhz would be better for amd CPUs (I'm gonna get the Ryzen 7 5800x),

so I went and looked on the list and the G.skill 3600Mhz cl14 royal is not on the list of the motherboard, so now I don't know if I should just go for the 3200Mhz and not care about the better performance I can get from the 3600Mhz, or not care about the list and go for the 3600Mhz one!

It's not. QVLs are never exhaustive. RAM compatibility used to be a bigger issue, but not really any more. A 5800X will run pretty much anything.

The original Ryzen CPUs were really finicky about ram. I haven't seen many issues in a long time, seems like Ryzen 3000 figured it out

No cpu mobo or ram atm

2tb wd black gen 4 nvme 

2tb seagate hdd

Corsair rm750x 

Be quiet 500dx
