Update from a 2080ti

Is upgrading from the 2080ti to 3080 worth it? (considering I will sell the 2080ti, it won't cost me that much)

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950x 
Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix x570-f Gaming
RAM: Adata XPG DDR4 D60G 64GB (16*4) 3600MHZ RAM 
PSU: Seasonic PRIME 1000
Mon: Philips 346B
GPU: Asus Turbo Series RTX 3080

Sound: Bose 700 Headphones 
Case: Asus TUF GT501
Storage: 2x Samsung Evo 980 Pro 2TB (Each, total of 4TB) in RAID 0
Cooling: Asus ROG LC 240mm and a bunch of Noctua fans

It is an upgrade, yes.. but not much overall. Its basically like going from a 3070 to a 3080.

The main win would be ray tracing performance. If that doesn't matter to you, then probably not worth the upgrade.

On average it is 10 frames at 1440p

 

I have one on my i9 9900k rig and it did have a 2080 ti.

 

For example Shadow Of the Tomb Raider at 1440p at the highest settings averages 133fps with a 2080 ti. With a 3080 it does 144fps.

 

I did the upgrade because the TV the i9  is connected to needs HDMI 2.1 for 4k 120hz.

If your selling the 2080ti to cover most of the cost sure, id do it that way. 

You'll have a new card, with fresh warranty. 

No cpu mobo or ram atm

2tb wd black gen 4 nvme 

2tb seagate hdd

I wouldn't. 2080ti is still slightly better than a 3070, and a 3080 isn't even really much better than the 3080 in real world scenarios.
