Laptop has really bad lagspikes when gaming, can someone help me?

Hey there,

I hava a question, I own a HP OMEN gaming laptop, the specs are:

I5 6300hq

16gb DDR4

120GB SSD 1TB HDD

GTX 960M 2G

Windows 10 latest

 

I only hava a problem when gaming, when i play games such as assassins creed black flag and GTA V. The game has sudden lag spikes and enormous frame drops. The games looks choppy and then runs smooth for 5 seconds and then it starts all over again.

 

I have tried:

BIOS update

Windows update

Reinstalling the drivers (nvidia)

Disableing intel graphics

Repasting the cpu and gpu

And turned my nvidia controlpanel settings to the powerfull nvidia gpu.

 

Here is where my knowledge ends. Has someone any idea how to fix this?
