The cable is compatible right? not all PSU cables are compatible among all PSUs. You could fry the GPU if it's not already dead if you do this.

Not sure, Their both fractal design psu.

Not having enough power is not going to cause the PC to not boot up.

The problem is you're using an incompatible PCIe cable from a different brand PSU on your graphics card.  You're causing a short.

You can't use a Thermaltake PCIe cable with a Corsair PSU.

/thread

Dumped the red cable pretty fast after the first try. Tried a white cable after thst so no daisy chains. No luck either from just the 750w alone.

Gonna try the card in my brothers 750w gold+ corsair. He runs a 6800 usually.

Also ordered a rm1000x for 220€ 🤔

If its fried from not even booting I will be very suprised.

Granted, its an FE card at stock so if you're 3080Ti is an FE, you'll be fine assuming its a good PSU.

ARE THEY ALL CABLES MADE FOR THE SAME PSU?!!?!??!?

And yes.... You can fry a graphics card by putting +12V across the ground.

Replace the psu anyway. Double forward topology don't like Ampere cards.

No.

Used the daisy chain one without using the second one from that one psu, no luck.

No Idea if their all the same lol

Used the ones used for gpu, one from the 8x2 bundle but the one pin.

Stood on silent on the bios setting on the top of the card, not sure if it has anything to do with the fans not spinning.

Hoping the rm1000x comes tomorrow or at Saturday.

Didn't put the 8x pin alone into the card.

Used fractaldesign 750w and a 550w fractaldesign together. Their not different brands but I should have said that earlier when my brother came with the second powersupply.

Well... for the next time (I hope there is no next time like this)

PLEASE read the user manual from ANYTHING you buy... after that, burn it if you want or read it again or whatever.

It´s faster to read that rather than writing a post and this kind of things

I hate it when that happens. Pull the battery and clear the cmos and try again. I don’t know what causes that to happen but it’s a real pain in the balls sometimes.

He has an HX850i.  The "i" means it has a serial interface that communicates real time data from the PSU to the motherboard.  So while I wouldn't normally trust software because in 99% of cases a PSU does NOT have any communication with the motherboard, a PSU that is supported by iCUE is quite different.

This changes my perspective a tad more..
