how do you remove a screw that won't stop turning, that's fixing a motherboard in a case?

no matter how much do I rotate it, it won't came out, but it does wobble

in the opposite direction it fixes itself so I'm not screwing it in the wrong direction

You're probably unscrewing the standoff rather than the screw, sometimes it can happen. Is this the last screw holding it in? If you unscrew all the others, then unscrew this one while gently lifting the board, the board will come out, bringing the standoff with it. From there you can just grip the standoff with something and unscrew the screw from it.

indeed it's the last screw but it won't came off

I guess that the filleting of the screw or screw holder got slightly damaged, and by so it doesn't let the screw

even if I try to pull off the screw while trying to pull off the motherboard it doesn't came off

You need a pair of thin pliers to hold the standoff. Next time use the right screws 😉 Sometimes you can unscrew the standoff from the back side of the motherboard tray with pliers

It happened to me once. I opened the other side of case and put Flex paste on the back tip of that standoff there and then unscrewed that standoff. You can also use superglue for it

^you need pliers.*

happened to me too. twice. thanks NZXT!  (never happens with my inwin case 🤷‍♂️)

*edit: should clarify, hold the standoff with pliers and try to remove the screw gently, with your hand, a screwdriver, or anothor pair of pliers… its tricky but not impossible, just be careful not to damage the mobo obviously.

I've already tried, but the screw is like stucked/soldered into the standoff

I'll let it like that whatever 🤷

the screw could be stripped, or as @Oshino Shinobusaid, it could be turning the standoff

by the way standoffs are just normal standoffs? I mean can they be on whatever material or not?

Yes, They are basically screws with threads on top.

As others have said, use pliers on the standoff.

If you've over-tightened the screw into the standoff, you're going to damage the PCB if you keep messing with it. Worst case, drill it, but that risks destroying the MB as well

You may need to dismantle the chassis to get to the standoff if there is no way to access it.
