Receiver Recommendations for whole home speakers

Bought a new house that has Bose speakers built in the ceiling in several rooms. I've never owned a receiver before and have no idea what to look for in one. Any ideas what I need to be looking for to hook up my tv and speakers all over the house?

you will need a multi zone avr.
depending on how many rooms you need to send to will depend on cost....avrs with 2 zones are under a 1000, but 3 or more zones will be over a 1000 easy

One question to throw out there - what it the topology of your home/speakers?

e.g.

livingroom/theater: 5.1 + 4 ceiling speakers
dining room: 2 speakers
master bedroom: 4 speakers

guest room: 2 speakers

After that - what are you goals?

Doing everything off of a single receiver is likely expensive. Settling for 2 or receivers might work, though you might have to settle for "not whole home" music (probably fine - that'll probably never be used anyway)

After that - what is your budget? How much "jank" are you willing to put up with?
