Make way for the behemoth, #2betterthan1

brownninja97

Its here, the moment you have been waiting for, THE R5 230X

Not one but two pictures have been found of this godly card.

11a.jpgClub_3D_Radeon_R5_230_PCIe_x1_01.jpg

I would have put sapphire pics as well but they forgot to pay the photographer so no pictures for now.

Anyways what are the specs, its a rebrand of the mighty 6450.

But there are some upgrades, like the introduction of ggr3 and gddr5 and all versions will have 1gb vram(at least). The standard core clock is 625mhz but the memory gets a MASSIVE 700mhz overclock, yes back when i had a 6450 it has a memory clock of 750mhz, its basically double that at 1334mhz now which is awesome in hd. Consuming a minor 19watts it can run on fairy dust.

Also dont let amd bullshit you, they say its a hawaii die but its calcos.

It also has the odd ability to run fully on a pci-e x1 slot which is awesome in hd.

Why does AMD have so many damn cards?!

A misguided effort to sell old stuck rebranded which of course backfires and confuses the fuck out of buyers.

the biggest reason and this is a massive reason which is why the most sold gpu is a gt210 is because people would rather upgrade the gpu instead of throwing a system away due to a failed gpu, why you might ask, gt210= £15, whole new system= >£200

My work PC has a Geforce 610 in, because I run multi monitors that is literally the only reason

For SUPER low level PCs, basic home use these can be of use without buying a brand new system

I just bought an old 5450 half height card for £5 because I need to add HDMI to an old HTPC i have
