Is LG 27gl83a-b good?

Hi,

 

I saw that Amazon has the LG 27gl83a-b at a nice sale price, less than 300$. 

The specs show that it's really good: 27", 2K, 1ms, 144Hz. 

But I didn't find anything about the panel, and I already had bad experience with good on-paper specs, but very bad panel (with another brand)

I remember it was a Panda panel or something like that - it was terrible. 

 

But with this LG monitor, I couldn't find any reviews about the panel itself.

I just saw that it has 5 full stars on Amazon (4.8 score) so it looks good.

 

Anyone has experience with it, or know about the panel itself? 

Maybe you have other suggestions for a monitor with similar specs and price (And not Chinese panel)?

It's good for the price if you're willing to deal with the bad Contrast Ratio and Black uniformity.

For other options probably the slightly more expensive Gigabyte M27Q but with the (possibly big) drawback of being a BGR display, or the similar priced Gigabyte G27Q which is a more "balanced" version with better contrast ratio and black uniformity than the LG and RGB display but with slightly slower response times.

The 27GL83-A is a good choice for the price. It's basically the same as the very popular 27GL850, but without wide gamut support. So it's a sRGB only display. But to most users this shouldn't matter.
