Looking for Freemail Provider Recommendations

Honestly imo, Gmail with Thunderbird is the way to go!

Hi folks,

My neighbour has asked me to help her look for a freemail provider. Unfortunately

I am not at all up to date on what decent offerings are out there in that market

since I've been using a paid mail provider for the last few years, which isn't an

option for her.

So, looking for suggestions. If possible, IMAP would be nice to have. If there

are any standout features which you like about your suggested provider, feel

free to point those out too. ;)

Outlook Web version is also pretty good. Though the outlook application will cost you money.

I switched over from Yahoo to gmail, greatest provider in my opinion.

I use Gmail with Thunderbird as well. 

I think what makes Gmail shine is all the other things that are intertwined with it. i.e. calendar, and things like that.

I would agree if Gmails web implementation wasn't already fantastic. I used to go through my ISP and their web client was complete garbage, so I used Thunderbird. Now I just use Gmail.  But in the end it depends on how you prefer things. I suppose Thunderbird would give you slightly more control over your email.

 

But yea, Gmail all the way.

I enjoy AOL :)

 

but mail.com is surprisingly good and has lots of free names! (little tips) ;)

 

Also the same reason I use AOL actually ahahahah xD

Gmail or Outlook.

 

If you want to use your own domain then Zoho mail is not all that terrible I think its 5 addresses for free though not too sure how much sensitive info I would let float over there.

You can get custom domains on Outlook as well I think through This process.

 

This it just free stuff I have found so use it at your own risk and all that.
