Is having high 'Sharpness' better than having low for competitive FPS gaming?

Generally, is it better to have low sharpness or high sharpness settings for FPS gaming? I know the framerate won't be affected, but from a vision standpoint, I imagine it would be high right?

It's essentially all preference. Too much sharpening leads to artifacting and could lead to false positives and bad aim

The sharpness setting in your monitor is just a post processing function.  The experience is purely subjective.  Set it to whatever you prefer.

Sharpness settings are completely subjective and have nothing to do with how good you'll be doing.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

Backlight strobing, however they are called by different companies (DYAC, ELMB etc.) is a matter of taste.

It does leave crisper image, but has some downsides, for my monitor ELMB turns max brightness way down.

I edit my posts more often than not
