Hi all,

I've created a quick program to detect why Windows 11 may being saying that your computer is not ready. You can find the details here: https://github.com/rcmaehl/WhyNotWin11/ and the dowload here: https://github.com/rcmaehl/WhyNotWin11/releases/latest

Edit: I've released version 1.1, which gives more detailed returns on what passed and what failed.

Edit 2: I've released version 2.0, which should check all requirements except CPU Model #s (which is a soft check anyway)

Hello,

Do you know why my Nvidia GTX 970 is reported as not compatible with WDDM 2 and in Dxdiag I see WDDM 2.7 ?

That's it, I tried the solution that famo000 found and it works, maybe something that should be included in a future release of WhyNotWindows11

Added in 2.2.3 😉

@POWER_ID

I think M$ Defender don't know the "WhyNotWin11" tool & recognize some commands (code) which asks for deeper hardware information as "unsafe".

So that's why it is warning the user. Maybe that changes with the next updates of M$ Defender.

The Ryzen 2400G APU is a ZEN 1st gen processor like Ryzen 1800X desktop processor. Both are not in the compatibilty list.

Maybe it will come in the future:

Quote

As we release to Windows Insiders and partner with our OEMs, we will test to identify devices running on Intel 7th generation and AMD Zen 1 that may meet our principles.

@rcmaehl

👌 Nice tool you made - great thanks for it !!!

For my systems language "german" there are some translate mistakes with dieresis, maybe based on wrong codepage:

+ñ  => ä

++ => ü

+£ => Ü

At [Secure Boot] -> there should be no "Ü" at the beginning. Not " Ünterstützt ", but " Unterstützt ".

whynotwin11.com is a scammer taking advantage of the hype, get from github.

Apparently @rcmaehlhas https://www.whynotwin11.org/ but that's got no valid SSL certificate at the moment.

Regarding the app, why not use standard fonts/labels/UI behavior? Current choices cause overrunning strings all over the place.

I kinda love that I installed Win11 with no hiccups on bare metal, and I can't run Win 11 on Bare Metal.  😉

the 2400G (and other 2000G series CPUs) are 1st gen Ryzen, not 2nd.

The 3000G series are 2nd gen Ryzen, not 3rd.
