GPU REACHES 88°C !!!

NotTheRealJay

Good day everyone, as the title says my RX 570 temperature reaches 88℃ and forces my games to shutdown.

It is overclocked at 1386mhz core clock at 1130mv with an aggressive fan curve. I can normally play in the evening when it is quite colder but can't during afternoon when the ambient temp. reaches +32℃.
I've got 6 fans in the case already and removed the side panel but doesn't really affect the temperature that much.

So what I'm asking is what can I do to reduce the gpu temperature so I can play during afternoon? Rather than the obvious undervolting and playing only at night
.

Specs:
i7 3770
rx 570 4gb ( newly cleaned and repasted with thermal grizzly kryonaut )
16gb ddr3
deepcool macube 110 ( I removed the side and front panel for maximum airflow )
6 darkflash c6ms

Get a cheap ac 😄 i dont think more airflow will make that big of a diff at 32 c

But that temp. is WITH an ac. xD

you can increase the fan speed using after burner or some other software if noise isnt one of your concern

He already pointed out that he set a very agressiv fan curve

Don't think you can do anything really... Buy overpowered cooling solutions, or undervolt...

as you can see on the image attached, the max. rpm of the gpu fans reaches 3600 rpm.

Holy and i was crying when i had 35 outside and 26 inside 😄 u could maybe help it a bit by blowing air into the open case with a fan if u have one friend of mine does that cause both of his gpu fans died hahahahahaahaha

i was kinda looking into NZXT kraken G12 for cooling, is it even worth it?

Oops, im retarded, hehe

I don't think there's anything you can do, unless ofc undervolting and some redneck cooling solutions like open the said panel and using one of those fan stand (i think it's what is called)

88c is not a dangerous temperature.  By default, the card will adjust the fan so that noise will be low.

I wrote a post in another thread recently to explain how you can adjust the fan curve of the card if you want from AMD's control panel :

Here is my fan curve, my bad for not putting it in the post above.

And i think 88°C is really hot.

You could throw more cooling onto the card, but that isn't going to change the fact that your ambient temps are super high.

I would primarily focus on just minimising the amount of heat the GPU itself is putting out, by way of undervolting.

Here's a quick guide that should make things pretty simple:

If, for some reason, you're opposed to the idea of undervolting (as you kind of seem to be going by how you mentioned it in the original post, and the fact that you're glossing over other people suggesting it..?), then I would just leave it as is. Sure, 88C is hot, but it should still technically be within safe figures. Just try and not look at that temperature indicator too often if you're that sensitive.

I'm not opposed to the idea of undervolting, but 1130mv is the lowest I can go without decreasing the core clock speed.
