Does anyone know how to fix the LG 27GL83A-B from flashing black every few seconds?

HueJanoos

I just recently got this monitor from Prime Day as a second monitor but it continues to flash black for whatever reason and I can't figure out why.
Stuff I've tried:

  • Changing DP cables
  • Changing the resolution and refresh rate
  • Update the monitor drivers as well as GPU drivers

The power cord is the smaller version where it doesn't need to connect to a brick and I can only plug it into a power strip cause the cable length is so short.

Do you have an Nvidia GPU and G-Sync enabled? If yes, disable it and see if that fixes things.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

I just purchased the same monitor and it is doing the same thing.  I'm running a 5700xt.

  • I have disabled freesync
  • Changed the dp cable with the on that came with my benq monitor
  • Changed refresh rate setting
  • Updated my graphics drivers
  • Installed the "drivers" for the monitor
  • Turned on and off all the settings on the actual monitor
