First Gaming PC, Need Help Picking Parts

jw6450

Budget (including currency): Below $2,000

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Minecraft, Subnautica, etc.

I could use help deciding what parts to get and if they are compatible.

PCPartPicker Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/RCFQHz

A lot of these parts are on sale for Prime Day so I will get some of them today and most likely wait a little while for a good priced GPU, I just don't know if they will all be compatible and also if I need more fans. PCPartPicker also says that I might need an adapter for the CPU Cooler and I don't know anything about that, should I just get a different CPU Cooler? Any help with this is much appreciated, thank you!

There's an NVME Drive there with DRAM Cache for 50$ For 500GB, it's def better than the BX drive you have listed.

That cooler will come with the AM4 brackets at this point.  (When AM4 was new it didn't have it yet)

I'd get a 5800X for the CPU, get an NH-U12S(redux) cooler, and get something like a 500 gig crucial P5, and a 2 TB HDD, which will be 50 bucks less on the storage.

😳
Not that active so I may not respond.

First off, the cooler is compatible with AM4. Also, the CPU comes with an RGB cooler, which you can use or just leave in the box.

Suggestions:

Second, I would add in a boot NVME drive that is either 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB (Depending on how you will set the computer up) (with a dram cache). Other than that, add a fan in the back and two on the bottom. That should decrease thermals on the graphics card and the CPU.

Third, I would suggest going with the founder's edition cards, since they have a fan that would help with case ventilation, which you can rearrange the fans to send the air up and out. That would also cut your costs (MSRP to MSRP, which I am not talking about scalper's pricing guidelines) by $200. This would give you room to buy 5 fans and a boot SSD.

that's a lot of RGB lol
I'd avoid the XPG drives for now, still waiting for fallout from the last LMG video which should drop prices again
