GTX 1050TI pre-built bought before GPU shortage.

Question at the bottom.

I've bought this (all new, nothing second-hand) pre-built in September of 2020, before the release of the 30 series. Cost me in total: equal to 600$

Motherboard: ASUS A320M-K

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 3,2 Ghz

GPU: GTX 1050TI, 4GB DDR5

RAM: 2x8GB DDR4, 2400MHz (I've only purchased the second 8GB RAM stick separately)

HDD: 1 TB

SSD: 240 GB

PSU: 560 W

Was it worth the 600$ at the time when GPU prices were normal? Not counting the fact they've gone up right after. I feel like I should've searched for something better at 600$.

Not to say the 1050TI is bad, but it could've definitely been better.

Forgot to mention, due to tax on imports (I'm not in the US nor is my country part of the EU) the prices of most components were most likely 10-30% more expensive at the time.

Honestly, it wasn't that bad. You could probably find something better especially from 2nd hand but brand new it's okay.

To be honest I'm a bit disappointed at the 1050TI for not being able to keep up with my 144Hz monitor.

I still regret not buying second-hand and making the pc on my own.

Well no shit it can't, it's a 4 and a half year old budget card that was just "adequate" with 1080p when it came out. You really should have had your expectations in check.

Either way, you didn't get diddled too hard when you bought it. Out of everything in that system, the only part you kinda got shafted on was the mobo.

Didn't know as much as I do now about anything computer related. Had no idea about what GPUs even existed.

Also, what? Talking about the GPU or something else?

No, mobo is short for motherboard. There's really never been any reason for an A320 board to be used since B350 boards were just barely more money and usually leaps and bounds better.
