Need some recomendations on cpu coolers

LiamOT21

my brother is buying my ryzen 5 3600 and he will need a cooler as i got rid of my stock one, he has a tomahawk max 2 so would i need to worry about an air cooler not fiting because of the ram? if so what are some that will fit? he's not to bothered about cost as long as its not like $100, id say around $60-70 is viable. TIA

Scythe Fuma 2 is my first recommendation most times - it does not block RAM slots and is a great dual tower cooler overall.

Though some single tower coolers would suffice also...

I edit my posts more often than not

No, this absolutely shouldn't. This is a single tower 120mm air cooler, which will hardly block the RAM slots, unless you, for some reason, are using extremely tall RAM modules.

Also, Noctua has a handy compatibility tool on their website to check between what CPU cooler you want to use and what motherboard you are planning on using as well. Just select the cooler type they offer and filter out or use the search option to find the motherboard.

oh awesome! my brother is putting noctua fans in his case so a noctua cooler would also be great to match the style, also another off topic question in your opinion what are the best noctua case fans? mainly for airflow and quietness

The Noctua NF-A12x25 strike a great balance between airflow and static pressure. They tend to be a little pricier than Noctua's NF-F12s, which I use for case fans in my current PC.
