First build.....Which monitor?

I managed to get a 3080 ti and a 5800x. I'd like to go 4K as I think this GPU is meant for that. 4K 144hz monitors are insanely expensive. Would anyone recommend a 4K 60hz monitor instead? Or are there other monitors (1440p) I should be considering instead? Would appreciate any help.
