R5 5600x or R7 3700x?

The title says it all.
I was previously going to purchase the 5600x because, well, yeah its good.
But for some reason, the r 3700x is priced lower than the 5600x currently. Is it actually better to go for the 3700x? Or should I stay with the 5600x?
If your wondering the uses of what I would use it for, probably triple a gaming and coding and schoolwork.

What are you gonna use it for and what are your system specs?

The 5600x is a good cpu for single thread whereas the 3700x is good for multithread

For gaming the 5600x is faster.

I'd avoid Ryzen 3000 these days, unless a friend/family is giving it to you at a great price. Zen3 is very nice, and both 10th/11th gen intel are faster and cheaper than Ryzen 3000 these days.

IMO if your also buying a new MB and looking to save some money, get a Intel 10700/11700 which ever model version of either of those is cheapest/on sale.

10th/11th gen intel is 2-5% slower than Zen3 for gaming. I'd get 8 cores for less money than 6 cores considering the performance difference between the 2 is under 5%.

If your lucky enough to live near microcenter a 10 core i9 10850k is $319, which brings it in as an option. IMO anyone who lives near microcenter should be buying this CPU at $319. Otherwise the 10850k is a lot more expensive and no where near this price category.

The 5600x or 8 core intel options easily win over Ryzen 3000. Cheers
