Is this much backlight bleeding acceptable for a VA panel?

fluffiki

I just got this new Acer Nitro monitor and I noticed that when I turn off the lights in my room and the screen backround is dark there are light spots on the lower ends of the monitor.

Not sure if this much BB is acceptable or should I just return it?

Photos look like phone camera with automatic settings which can be very misleading.

automatic:

manual, brightness 0 , 3700k, iso 400:

Reality is somewhere in between.

So do me a favor and make a pic with manual camera settings, iso 400?

I have an iPhone 7 and I couldn’t find a way to change to manual settings.

I used the VSCO app and took those, best I can do:

Pictures of backlight bleed tell us nothing. Most of the time the pictures are looking much worse than in reality.

Just set the brightness to something that is comfortable to your eyes. Then decide yourself if it's too bad to be acceptable or not.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.
