Hello I was checking what was the best video card on userbenchmark.com, and it said the 1080 ti was better by 4%, but I don't know if its true, so I wanted to ask somebody there knows a lot about video cards can you help me?

dont use userbenchmark. its terribly inaccurate\

going off of yt vids, the 3060ti is way better than a 1080ti.

now factor in things like dlss2.0, rtx, and ither features that use rt cores, 3060ti is way better.

I could use some help with this!

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)

That cant be true.

The 1080 Ti has more VRAM, thats it. Everything else is worse.

😳
Not that active so I may not respond.

Userbenchmark is trash. Never, ever use it, at least for a comparison between components.

The 3060 ti is at least 10% faster, 20% or more depending on game.

1080 ti is still a capable card in 2021 so if it's a matter of trying to find a card and you can get one for a decent price it's not a bad choice, but the 3060 ti outperforms it outright and has way more features.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

They went through a phase of claiming the 2060 Super as the minimum graphics card any one should ever consider... LOL

Did you test boot it, before you built in into the case?

WHY NOT...?!

Userbenchmark is not reliable.

Do you already have the 1080 ti? If so, a 3060 ti isn't much of an upgrade (more of a sidegrade + RTX) and right now is a horrible time to be buying graphics cards. If you have the 1080ti then keep it until things settle down. If you're choosing between buying a 1080ti 2nd hand or a new 3060ti then it would depend on the prices.

Pretty on par from looks of it. I would always get the newer card. If I dont have a graphics card.

PSA: I havent bothered to check if 1080ti or 3060ti is overclocked balls to walls, CPU scores are almost identical. Only difference should GPU performance.

This.  9900K + 1080Ti is still a smoking combination, for example.  Strong card, it's got staying power which I appreciate in these times more than I ever thought I would.

Each subsequent Generation a card steps down about 1 tier.

A 1080 TI is about equal to a 2070 TI is about equal to a 3060 TI.  (Yeah there's some wiggle room, and new features on newer cards, but for raw horsepower, it's a decent rule of thumb.)

If you can get a 3060 TI for MSRP (or close to) and then sell your 1080?  That's pretty reasonable to do.

Is it worth the 800+ a 3060 TI is going for?  Hell no.

They are both good cards. If the 3060ti is the same price as the 1080ti then go for the 3060ti. If the 3060ti is significant more expensive then I would personally get the 1080ti as its still a great card.

There was also a point in time that it claimed that the i3-6100 was better than the Ryzen 7 3700X because it had "lower memory latency"... LOL.

They even made their own "eFPS" measurement for games, which, surprise surprise, is severely rigged in favor of Intel.

Can't believe that place hasn't been taken down yet.

Isn't the 3060 ti closer to a 2080ti? IMO if you can get the 3060ti anywhere near the price of a 1080ti the 3060 ti wins no question.

If paying scalped prices I'd consider the new card. I'd rather pay scalped price for something new than 2 gens old.

At MSRP the 3060 ti is one of the best values of any card period.

3060 ti is neck and neck with a 2080 Super IIRC.

3070 is more like a 2080 ti.
