How to stop Windows 10 from disabling the installation option from a disk?

I'm trying to install an old OS on a retro PC, but the hard drive I'm using has Windows 10 on it. Since the OS is older than Windows 10 it disables the ability to install from the disk. How do I get around that?

If I understand you right, you want an older OS on an older PC, but the drive already has Windows 10 on it. If I am reading this right, you'll need to wipe the drive first, before installing something else. DBAN will do nicely (warning, wipes *everything* on the drive, ensure you have data backups first)
