You have an overclockable CPU but you can't overclock on a B560 board. I also would want a beefier cooler than the 212 Black if I was going to overclock, probably.

I don't think B560 chipset supports RAM speed above 2933mhz but they may have changed that from the older midrange chipsets.

16GB Crucial Ballistix DDR4-3600mhz CL16 | 1TB Samsung 970 Evo Plus, 3TB Toshiba P300

Well then you're wasting your money on an overclocking CPU.

You can switch to a 5600x, or just downgrade to a 11400.

Quickly changed the bias, as you stated youre going to run it at 1440p144. Also changed the cooler and the case for something thats better value for the temperature gains. And no RGB Corsair ram for me, because:

1. RGB Tax

2. Corsair's DRAM vendor quality is a joke.

The B560 Prime from ASUS is literally the worst B560 board you can get, even in the ATX layout. Not a good idea, its VRM and power-delivery is laughable.

Seeing as you are not wanting to overclock then no. The 'K' version might give a few extra fps when overclocked to 5GHz but it would mean spending more cash as you would need a 'Z' chipset board and decent cooler.

B560 VRM Tier List:

1. Gigabyte B560 AORUS PRO AX

2. MSI MAG B560 TOMAHAWK

3. MSI MAG B560M BAZOOKA

*The Bazooka is still a pretty good board, especially for the price. You'd just have to disable its stock 65W power limit (locks CPU at 3.0Ghz) and it'd run great.

Is the color of the heatsink on your mobo really important to you? 🤔

I didn't pick up on any matching color schemes or aesthetics in your build, so I figured function > looks made more sense.

It'll be inside a dark black case with no internal lighting, I'd be surprised if it looked anything other than black in that system.

It'd definitely be a hell-of-a-lot less noticeable in a black chassis than that white B560 Prime you originally chose would. 😉

From what ive seen Intel is way too overpriced for what it delivers.

This was true a while ago, not so much anymore after the launch of the mid-end 11th Gen chips.

They're actually a much better value proposition than Ryzen 5000 in this price range.
