Microsoft Teams with Free Office

Hi,

I need to use Microsoft Teams for schoolwork, but the built-in document and presentation editing tools are not good. On Windows, you can just open up a file in MS Word but as that is not an option on Linux, is there any way you can open these files in other office software, such as Free office or Libre Office?

LibreOfffice will open Office docs. Compatibility may be spotty.
