Can you Re-waterproof a deskmat/ mousepad and still have the same texture?

I have a Arozzi Gaming desk, desk-mat that was originally water repellent but over time it has lost its hydrophobia and since I'm gonna deep clean it again I figured I should re-spray whatever hydrophobic compound they used at the factory. My only concern is finding a spray coating that won't effect the texture of the mouse-pad/desk-mat. I've searched online and couldn't find anyone who has done this.

Unlikely. You can try something like Neverwet. Not sure how it'd react though. They're not expensive, it'd honestly be cheaper just to replace it.

I've never tried anything like you have described but I have used a lot of hydrophobic coatings/sprays on car interiors before and I have never seen the them alter the texture in any way...or at least I have noticed it. You could always try it in a spot thats not likely to be noticed and see if it affects the mouse pad at all.

Water-repellent mouse pad? Does it rain over your desk? You can find this at many hardware/sporting goods stores for tents/camping gear.

Mostly for condensation from drinks or in-case I spill something
