Looking to upgrade my build, I need guidance.

Budget (including currency): 4500 Turkish Lira (500 dollars-ish), 2300 for the CPU and the rest for the MOBO.

Country: Turkey

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Valorant,Overwatch,Apex, Streaming such as Twitch/Youtube, video editing.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I want to upgrade my pc as a whole without having to spend a ton, keeping most core stuff in place, such as cooler, storages, case and graphics card. Therefore I have been searching on how to upgrade my CPU to a 6-core while keeping most stuff in tact whilst also changing the motherboard on a tight budget. I have come to the conclusion to get a Intel I5-10600K, which stands at 2300 TL as we speak. However, I have been at war in trying to find the best Motherboard because when I assemble my supposed parts together on pc part picker, it says "This motherboard has an additional 4-pin ATX power connector but my PSU doesnt and that while it could operate without it, high workload stuff might not". So as a noobie, does this mean I need to get another 4-pin for my PSU to plug into the mobo, or is it the fact that the mobo has 4 pin but my psu doesn't support it? For now, I have found that the Asus Prime Z490 M Plus doesn't make this message appaear and that it's a decent board. However, if the other boards can be supported, which one would you recommend? The MSI Z490A, Z490 Gaming Edge and the Z490 Tomahawk seem to be popular and good choices all around, with the Asus Rog Strix 490-G being a spicy differential.

Part List:

Current CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K -> Intel Core I5-10600K

Current Mobo: Asus Z170 PRO GAMING ATX LGA 1151 Motherboard -> Asus Prime Z490 M Plus(?)

GPU: Gigabyte Geoforce GTX 1070 TI

SSD: Samsung 850 Pro 512GB

HDD: WD Red 2TB (2012)

RAM: Kingston Hyperx Fury Black 16 GB (2x8) DDR4- 2133 CL14 Memory

Cooling: Arctic Freezer 13

PSU: Corsair RM 750 X

Case: Cooler Master N300- no side panel

Monitor: AOC C24G1 24" 144Hz 1ms with 1920 x 1080.

CPU upgrade is the first priority, at that resolution a 1070 Ti will be fine for some time yet.

I can't imagine why you would change from a full atx to a micro atx

Personally on a budget I would look at the Asus Tuf assuming it's in stock anywhere, usually goes for like $180

Looks like most Z490 boards are discontinued with elevated prices

Without shipping where I am in america you can nab a 11600k & a Asus Tuf Gaming Z590-Plus Wifi for $483 together from Newegg.

And a Corsair RMx 750 shouldn't have compatibility issues.. and its far more than enough power for your pc, heck it can handle my overclocked 5950x & 3080rtx

In the future when you get more cash id nab ram that's atleast 3200mhz too, easy 2 minute upgrade.

System Specs: AMD 5950x PBO-AutoNoctua DH-15 Black | Gigabyte x570 MasterEVGA 3080FTW3 Ultra | (2x16gb) G.Skill Royal 3600mhz CL18 | Corsair 5000D Airflow (Black) Samsung 980 Pro 2TB & Firecuda 520 1TB & Crucial MX500 2tb850W Corsair RMX | 2 Noctua A14 CPU, 6 Noctua A12x25 Intake, 3x Noctua F12 Top Exhaust, 1x Noctua A12x25 Back Exhaust

Monitors: (Main) LG Ultragear 34" 2k Ultrawide 144hz IPS '34GP83A-B' (Side) Acer Predator 27" 2k 144hz TN 'Abmiprz'

Peripherals: Corsair K100 OPX | Logitech G502 Lightspeed | Corsair Virtuoso SE | Audioengine A2+

Hi! First of all, thank you for your response and enlightening me with your knowledge to what woud be a better purchase for a slight increase in budget spend, still new to this community ahahaha. Secondly, yes I do indeed have both of the 11600K and the Z590-Plus (without the wifi required) near me for 5300 Liras, something similar to 490-500 dollars as you mentioned. And as far as compability with the PSU goes, it still gives me this message, and I have no clue what it means as it wasn't answered by anyone in the post. I quote:

"The Asus TUF GAMING Z590-PLUS ATX LGA1200 Motherboard has an additional 4-pin ATX power connector but the Corsair RMx 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply does not. This connector is used to supply additional 12V current to the motherboard. While the system will likely still run without it, higher current demands such as extreme overclocking or large video card current draws may require it."

Would you so kindly explain if this means I need to get an additional 4-pin cable, or if the system doesn't have a spare 4 pin entry for my PSU, or in the end it's just a message that simply doesn't reflect the reality that it will be compatible and no issues will arise.

Thank you in advance!

That message only pops up with the Corsair rmx pre2018.

I'm actually not sure on that, perhaps standards have changed?
