Xbox One Controller on Windows 10 (Wireless)

Hello,

can I pair the Xbox One Controller with my mainboards bluetooth in windows 10?
Or do I need to buy this "bluetooth dongle" thing from microsoft.

You can give it a shot, but bluetooth with the XB1 controllers on Windows is far from a nice experience. It'll work once and then you'll have to fuck around for about 3 millennia the next time you try to use the controller.

I bought a Xbox One controller, will come monday or something. I have a AsRock B550M-ITX i guess it's good enough.

even though you've already done it, the answer is that you can pair any 2nd gen Xbox One controller or later (which has bluetooth) to any third revision Bluetooth receiver (Bluetooth 4.0 or later)

Probably, BT 4.0 is an old standard...about a decade ago, most USB 2.0 receivers should be 4.0. We're on 5.2 now. Looks like Broadcom has a 4.0 driver for Windows XP, so something with a broadcom chipset is the best chance. 

 

A quick search, it appears their driver covers the BCM20702 chipset, so a Bluetooth receiver with BCM20702 should work https://www.amazon.com/s?k=BCM20702&ref=nb_sb_noss
